From the moment we unfolded it, the EPโ2 3.0 felt like a higher-class folding eโbike: magnesiumโalloy stepโthrough frame, integrated battery and clean cable routing. The finishing is tight, welds neat, and the fold mechanism locks with confidence.
Riding โ Power & Range
That 75 Nm torque figure isnโt marketing fluff โ itโs real shove. The boost mode delivers a blunt, immediate push that makes short climbs trivial and city starts effortless. In mixed urban+suburban loops with a rider ~80โ90 kg and moderate pedalling, we consistently saw 100โ120 km on PAS 1. On higher PAS or frequent boost usage expect lower range โ but the fast 3.5โhour recharge means quick turnarounds.
Handling & Comfort
The 20ร4.0" hybrid fat tires + hydraulic suspension fork soak up potholes and light dirt tracks better than you'd expect from a folding bike. The steering is composed; the frame geometry keeps stability at speed and confidence in corners. Ergonomics are well thought-out โ height-adjustable stem, comfortable saddle, and an intuitive cockpit layout.
Build Quality & Weatherproofing
Waterproof wiring (IPX7) and robust display/lights rated to IPX6 meant we took the unit out in heavy drizzles โ no glitches. The fold hardware feels durable; paint and finishes held up to repeated folding. Small trims like fully sealed connectors and covered charging port show that the engineers considered real-world use.
Brakes, Gearing & Safety
Hydraulic disc brakes bite predictably โ excellent for the bike's top speed and weight. The 7โspeed Shimano drivetrain is smooth and reliable for city gradients. Integrated lights are bright enough for early morning and dusk rides. Weโd still recommend a strong rear rack or pannier system for heavy cargo.
App & Electronics
The companion app provides ride stats, PAS tuning and a simple diagnostic overview. Bluetooth pairing was straightforward and the display is bright and readable in sunlight. Firmware on our preโorder sample felt polished โ no unexpected resets or hiccups during our weeks of testing.

If you want a portable eโbike with fatโbike comfort and real torque for hills, but still need something EUโlegal and foldable for commuting or travel, the EPโ2 3.0 BOOST hits that sweet spot.
