EU-Profile Folding E-Bike with Torque Sensor, 55Nm Boost, 48V 13Ah Removable Battery & Up to 120 km PAS Range
The ENGWE EP-2 Boost develops the familiar folding fat-tyre platform with a more responsive torque-sensing assistance system and a dedicated Boost function for extra support when acceleration or climbing demands more from the bike.
The Boost button is designed for moments when normal pedal assistance needs extra help. Keep pedalling, press and hold Boost, and the system can deliver up to 55Nm of torque for starts, hills or short sections where stronger assistance is useful.
ENGWE's system disengages when pedalling stops. It is not designed as an independent motor-only throttle.
The EP-2 Boost makes sense when a full-size bicycle would be awkward to store. Its folding frame can reduce the space needed in a garage, hallway, office or vehicle, while keeping the wider tyres and substantial feel of a fat-tyre e-bike.
Car transport, compact storage, shared garages, apartments with suitable access and situations where the bike needs to occupy less floor space.
Regular stairs, frequent train changes or carrying the bike for long distances. At around 30 kg, the EP-2 Boost should not be confused with an ultra-light folding commuter.
Instead of simply detecting whether the pedals are moving, the torque sensor responds to how much effort you apply. That can make the assistance feel smoother, more proportional and more connected to your own pedalling.
Assistance can build with pedal pressure, helping starts feel more controlled instead of suddenly switching from no support to full support.
Push harder through the pedals and the system can respond with stronger assistance, while Boost is available when additional support is needed.
Ease your pedalling effort and assistance can reduce accordingly, giving everyday riding a more natural bicycle-like character.
ENGWE quotes up to 120 km under PAS 1 conditions, but that figure should be treated as a manufacturer test reference, not as a guaranteed distance for every rider and route.
The 48V 13Ah battery can be removed from the bike, allowing charging indoors even when the bicycle itself is stored elsewhere.
A full recharge is listed at approximately 6.5 hours, making overnight or workday charging the most natural routine for regular use.
The wide tyres give the EP-2 Boost a very different character from a narrow-tyre urban commuter. They increase the contact patch and help absorb rougher surfaces, which suits mixed everyday riding where roads are not always perfect.
A more planted feel, additional tyre cushioning and greater versatility across tarmac, gravel-paved paths and less-perfect surfaces.
Fat tyres add size, rolling resistance and weight. Riders whose priority is minimum weight and fast urban portability may prefer a narrower, lighter ENGWE platform.
Choose the EP-2 Boost if you want a folding platform, fat-tyre confidence, natural torque-sensing assistance and an extra Boost function without moving into a larger premium full-suspension model.
Look elsewhere in the range if you regularly carry the bike upstairs, need the smallest possible folded package, want full suspension or prioritise a lighter urban commuter above fat-tyre versatility.
No. ENGWE describes Boost as additional pedal-assist support. The rider continues pedalling while holding the Boost control, and the function disengages when pedalling stops.
The folded dimensions are approximately 99 ร 55 ร 75 cm. Many larger boots may accommodate it, but vehicle shapes vary significantly, so measure the actual available space before ordering.
Yes. The battery is removable, which is useful when the bicycle is stored in a garage, shared storage area or somewhere without a nearby socket.
No. It is ENGWE's maximum quoted PAS 1 range figure. Real distance depends on the rider, terrain, weather, tyre pressure, assistance level and riding style.
ENGWE specifies the European-profile model with a 250W motor, 25 km/h assisted-speed setting and pedal-dependent Boost system. Road-use requirements can still vary by country, supplied configuration and local law, so riders should check the rules applying where the bike will be used.
The EP-2 Boost makes the strongest case when you want fat-tyre versatility, folding storage, responsive pedal assistance and useful extra torque in one accessible ENGWE platform.
