ENGWE markets the Y700 ABE as certified by Germany's Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) for the applicable German electric scooter category. Unlike the unrestricted Standard Y700, this variant is configured for a maximum speed of 20km/h and a 500W motor. Irish public-road e-scooter regulations require qualifying vehicles to satisfy strict technical limits. These include 400W maximum continuous rated power, 25kg maximum weight and 20km/h design speed. The Y700 ABE has a listed 500W motor and weighs 31.7kg. It does not qualify as an ordinary public-road e-scooter in Ireland. Use only where this vehicle category is legally permitted.
🇩🇪 GERMANY
ENGWE markets the Y700 ABE as certified by the German KBA authority. German public-road use requires the matching approved vehicle, correct identification and mandatory liability insurance with a valid insurance sticker. Other traffic requirements apply. 🇪🇺 OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES
